Halstead Boilers has appointed Tony Chadderton (1) as technical director. He was previously with Baxi for 19 years.
Bob Spittle (2) has become chairman of the 160-strong environmental engineering division of BDP, incorporating building services, sustainability, lighting and acoustics. He joined the firm in 1987 and became a director in 1989.
Johnson Controls has promoted Jon Pettitt (3) to national accounts manager for building systems. He has been with the firm for 12 years.
Buro Happold has added Jane Boyle (4) to its sustainability and alternative technologies team in Glasgow. She has 12 years’ experience of sustainably-led building development and design and environmental assessments.
¾«¶«Ó°ÊÓ services and facilities management consultancy Service Works Global has appointed Helena Ohlsson (5) to lead expansion into Europe. She is a past-president of the International Facilities Management Association in Sweden.
SummitSkills, the skills council for building services engineering, has appointed John Pratt as development manager. He was previously head of the centre for construction and building services at Highbury College, Portsmouth. Vince Glover (6) becomes operations manager for London, moving from Edexcel, the awarding body and education services provider.
Campbell Devine is the new head of European consulting at McBains Cooper.
Trevor Hursthouse has become development director at Imtech UK. He was previously chairman of Nottingham-based Goodmarriott and Hursthouse.
Philip Hill is the new regional managing director for Silcock Dawson’s Leeds office.
Adair Turner, former head of the CBI, has been named the first chairman of the government’s new Committee on Climate Change.
