International architect Denton Corker Marshall has won Australia's Sir Zelman Cowen Award for its Melbourne Museum. The building includes 70,000 m2 of exhibition galleries, an Imax theatre, a children's museum and an Aboriginal cultural centre. It is the second time the practice has won the award; the first was for the Melbourne Exhibition Centre in 1996. Arup was structural engineer for the museum.
