Contractor expected to complete developer’s Network building at end of year
Kier is expected to be formally appointed shortly to a £100 scheme to redevelop a grade II-listed building on London’s Oxford Street for Derwent.
The firm is already working on the developer’s Network building on Tottenham Court Road which is due to finish at the end of this year.
Now ¾«¶«Ó°ÊÓ understands the firm is due to sign a PCSA for the Holden House scheme which involves retaining the facade of the building as part of a 133,000 sq ft office and retail scheme designed by architect DSDHA.
Kier, who will sign the PCSA this month, is understood to have beaten Wates and McLaren to the deal.
Erith will start demolition and enabling works in August ahead of main construction work starting next year.

The scheme at 50 Baker Street has been drawn up by AHMM is thought to be worth around £150m. Work is scheduled to start in the first half of next year.
Laing O’Rourke is close to completing work on 25 Baker Street with practical completion slated for the end of June.
Derwent also said it was looking to appoint a winner on the refurbishment of Greencoat & Gordon House by the end of this year, with the work involving revamping a 108,000 sq ft former Victorian warehouse in Westminster.
The office scheme, which is worth between £50m and £100m, is being priced by Overbury, Faithdean and Collins Construction. The revamp, which has been designed by Squire & Partners, is also scheduled to start in the first half of next year.
