Foreign Office Architects has walked off its Institute of Legal Medicine project in Madrid, claiming that conflicts arose 鈥渇rom the expectation of meeting a certain level of quality architecture without being granted the necessary resources鈥.
FOA said a lack of funding would produce a 鈥渓ow-quality building鈥. The 14,000ft2 building is part of the City of Justice development, with other buildings designed by Foster + Partners, Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners and Zaha Hadid.
